Summary: Briggs only sends you a text message after you explicitly agree to receive one during a phone call with our AI assistant. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP.
Briggs is a platform used by home service contractors (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) to manage inbound service requests. When you call a contractor that uses Briggs, our AI voice assistant may answer the call, collect details about your service request, and — with your permission — send you a text message with a confirmation and booking link.
Briggs collects explicit verbal consent before sending any SMS message. At the end of each call, our AI assistant asks:
Agent: "Perfect — I've got that noted. Someone from [business name] will call you back shortly. Can I send you a text with a confirmation and their booking link so you can schedule online?"
If you say yes: "Great, I'll send that over now. Is there anything else before I let you go?"
If you say no: "No problem at all. Someone will be in touch shortly. Is there anything else before I let you go?"
An SMS is only sent if you verbally agree. Your consent is recorded as part of the call transcript and audio recording.
If you consent, you will receive a single text message containing:
This is a one-time transactional message. Briggs does not send marketing messages, promotional content, or recurring texts.
One message per call, only when you consent. No recurring messages.
You can opt out at any time:
After replying STOP, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts will be sent.

Message and data rates may apply. Briggs does not charge for SMS, but your mobile carrier's standard messaging rates apply.
SMS is supported on all major U.S. and Canadian carriers.
Your phone number and call transcript are stored securely and used only to deliver the service request to the contractor you called. We do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. See our full Privacy Policy for details.
